The Waves Of Life 🌊

I started this blog in April of last year ( 2022 ) and I’m glad I did. I have been told I should start one for awhile because I have a huge love for writing and apparently I’m good at it. Everything I write in each and every blog post is genuine , honest and comes from the heart.  I  will say it hasn’t been easy because sometimes I feel that I’m not understood. Sometimes my love or grief is so deep and it’s hard to convey the way I am truly feeling. I would love for people to give my blog a chance and maybe comment to let me know how they are feeling as well because everyone needs a place to express themselves. This is not a place to be judged or criticized, just openly express themselves. I often feel that I am not understood and it can be quite frustrating more often than not so if you deal with that my heart goes out to you.  When I write , I find it to be very helpful when I am stressed and / or anxious. It has become a good outlet for me. I write about different thin...

Spring Decor & Tips 🌷

I don’t know about you but I love to decorate! I have always found myself to be very creative so that has a lot to do with why I love it. It gives me the chance to show my creativity as I am always coming up with all sorts of ideas and I tend to want to get carried away. It can also be very overwhelming especially when you have ocd.   It can be hard when I decorate for each season because there are so many great options. I like to switch it up and add a theme sometimes. I feel like you have to shop early for everything especially decor that you are going to use for specific seasons or else you won’t usually be able to get hardly anything but that’s only if you are buying new pieces to add to your collection of decorations or if you are replacing old ones that you have had with fresh new pieces.  A few tips I would suggest before you begin shopping for new pieces is to go through all of the items you have for the season you are decorating for and possibly shopping for just to m...

Time & The Little Things

Lately I have been personally trying to do much better about my time on social media because it was taking a toll on my mental health. When I opened up one of the apps I use I came across truly one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. I just had to share this beautiful story with you!  There is an absolutely adorable lady named Pat who volunteered at Rush hospital over 25 years which is quite a long time. There also happens to be a beautiful certified registered nurse anesthetist to be exact but he also is much more than just that. He met her there at the hospital. As he got to know her better he learned that her late husband always got her flowers every year for her birthday. He decided to carry on the tradition by bringing her gorgeous flowers and a cake to celebrate. This year she will be 96 which is just incredible if you ask me. The wonderful man’s name is Mohammad and he is truly a wonderful person with the biggest most beautiful heart. While I have not met him personally...

The Word Love

In honor of Valentines Day being today I thought I would go ahead and publish this.   The word love can be used in many contexts of how it is said. It can be shown in so many different ways. It can sometimes be scary when someone says that they love you no matter what type of relationship it may be. It can be a very scary word in general. I learned last year after reading a book that love is a word that wasn’t used when the person who wrote the book was growing up. I’ve also known people personally who were never told they were loved by their parent(s) and/ or grandparent(s) . It made me sad not only because it’s just completely sad but because it had heavily impacted the way they grew up.  It also has affected the way they raised their children. I believe everyone deserves to be told they are love by someone and really feel like they are as well no matter what. In 2021 I lost someone I loved very dearly. As I’ve been on my journey of grief , I have realized life is way too sh...

What Is Your Love Language!?

Before I write this whole thing I think Valentines day means more to me now than it has in the past because the last card I ever received from my grandfather was a Valentines day card. Of course I still have it and I will always keep it. I miss him more each and every day. He always made me feel loved!  I would say my love language is gifts. While I absolutely love to receive them I truly enjoy giving them as well.  Sometimes it’s super hard when you get excited about the gift you sent someone if they live out of state and you don’t get any kind of acknowledgement to even let you know they received it. It’s also hard when you don’t see pictures of them with their gift even if you were given a list to choose from but sometimes you feel that their list of stuff gets repeatedly gifted so you decide to just gift something completely not listed. Even if you ask if they received it you may or may not get an answer. If you do get a response then it will be generic as if you are bothe...

Grief ( Holiday Edition )

When you lose a loved one whether it be a parent, a pet or just about anyone no one can really prepare you for how to grieve because everyone’s journey with grief is so different. Some grieve longer than others but grief is something that is always going to be with us and everyone handles it differently. During the holidays can be especially tough no matter how long it has been since they have been gone. For me personally this is my second Christmas without my grandfather and I will be honest it’s harder this year than it was my first. I think it just had not been long enough to truly hit me. I also was so numb from the pain that I didn’t know but this year has hit me so hard. It’s very difficult seeing a Christmas card from my grandmother and not seeing his name on it. It’s so hard to shop and see something that I know he would absolutely love but not be able to buy it for him. As I see gifts under my tree I just can’t help but be heartbroken that there is none for him under ther...
