Our Darling Camille

I remember staying with family and we happened to pass a sign that said free puppies although puppies are never technically free. We went to look at them and we only seen a beautiful beagle that had recently given birth. We waited for a little bit then several puppies emerged. They were all black and brown colored but then one white little angel came out. She was the last one and she was so stunning. She was the only girl and so her brothers paved a way for her. She was also so tiny. When I seen her they thought I was going to pass out because I was just so excited. We took her back with us and put her in a cage for the night. The next morning I got her out to play and she dragged a big blanket across the floor. From that moment on I knew she was going to be a mighty strong little thing. When I took her home later that day my mom absolutely fell in love with her even though she wasn’t expecting a new puppy. I didn’t really have permission but I like to say it’s better to ask for ...

Book Launch Day ( Book Written By Carlos & Alexa Penavega )

Today is the official launch day for Carlos & Alexa Penavega’s book called What If Love Is The Point? I was blessed enough to chosen to be apart of the incredible launch team to help promote this book as much as possible. When I first heard they were coming out with a book I got so excited and kept an eye out for a release date. I seen an opportunity to sign up for the launch team but not in a million years did I ever think I would have gotten chosen. I was beyond ecstatic when I got an email saying I wasn’t in the Facebook group exclusively for the launch team. I still would have ordered a copy even if I had not got chosen but oh I am so glad I did.  If you know me personally you know how much I absolutely adore the Penavega’s. I wrote my personal review on a different blog post along with reviews on Goodreads and Barnes&Noble. I just want to say this book has truly been life changing for me. After I finished reading it I realized I needed to change some things in my life...

To My Dear Pawpaw

Dear Pawpaw                                  This first Father’s Day without you has been rough. I remember celebrating you for your birthday and this holiday because it’s a few days before each other . I loved when you would come over for a big steak which you always loved. You always gave my dogs too many treats. I remember when you and Mawmaw came over one Father’s Day, you had seen a commercial for Klondike bars. You said oh I love those. Mawmaw said Neil you’ve never had one of those and you said Mary I have too had one. It was so funny to hear that and quite entertaining especially since I can hear you saying that often. You would be wearing dark colored pants and they would be covered in dog hair by the time you left because they were always all over you but you didn’t care even if Mawmaw would say something to you. You were always so quick witted and always something funny to say! I can’t...

To My Dad In Heaven ( Wrote By My Mother )

I Would Like To Start To Start Out By Saying This Post Was Not Written By Me But My Mother To Her Dad On This Father’s Day. I Of Course Had Her Permission To Post It. This Is The First Father’s Day Without Him So It’s An Emotional Time For My Family And I Especially My Mother. We Are Missing Him More Than Ever Today! đź’” This is my first Father’s Day where you will not be here to have a favorite dinner or get gifts. I am sure you are getting something much better where you are but I certainly miss you.  There are a few things I would love to tell you if I could. We always think we have plenty of time, but we do not always have all the time we think we do.  I certainly would have told you how good looking you were. I do not know if I ever told you enough. You were a beautiful man inside and out but I am not sure I ever let you know I felt that way. You loved mom and tried hard to make her happy. Any woman who has a man try this hard to make her happy, is, indeed a lucky wo...

My Grandfather’s First Birthday In Heaven

I’m trying to keep it together as I type this. It is officially my grandfather’s first birthday in Heaven. It truly is going to be hard to celebrate without him here physically. It’s extremely hard when you lose anyone especially a grandparent you were close with. I recently seen a recipe online for something with strawberry rhubarb ( something he loved ) and I instantly thought of him. I know he would love the new strawberry frosty flavor at Wendy’s. I wish I could take him a drumstick cone because that was one of his very favorites. I know it’s real but I’m still not quite used to the fact that I can’t hear his voice say ‘’ Is that you Milly Mo ‘’ which by the way was his special nickname for me. I miss his hugs. It’s truly hard when I’m shopping because I will sometimes see a shirt or something that I think he would look so good in. He had a tan complexion so he looked good in a lot of things especially stripes. If I got anything from him it was mainly the  love of a good foun...

What If Love Is The Point?

I was blessed enough to be chosen to be apart of the launch team for Carlos & Alexa Penavega’s new book called What If Love Is The Point? I started reading it yesterday and I finished it late last night. It was too good to stop. I have not read a book in a long time but since I have been a huge fan of theirs for years I immediately knew I had to sign up to be apart of their launch team. I grew up in church especially since my grandfather was a pastor. When his health started to decline and he no longer could attend church it made it very hard for me to go because every time I would go I would picture him sitting in the chair that was his on the stage. It did not have his name on it but it just was a known thing to most that it was his chair. I could see him raising his hand and praising while he was sitting in that chair. Unfortunately last August the day after my 25th birthday he passed away. Since my birthday was on a Friday I had a weekend planned with cute outfits and a bi...

Permanent Makeup Experience

I know everyone has different views and opinions on permanent makeup but this is my journey. Also I am going to mention a business but this is no way sponsored or anything at all I just truly believe in supporting small businesses. During the holidays of 2020 I kept seeing someone’s eyebrows on Instagram and I fell in love with the way they looked. Well she kept getting questions so she told her followers what she had done which was called powder brows. I did some research and found someone in my area who did permanent makeup. I read reviews about her which were very good but I also found her business page on Instagram so I could see her work for awhile to make sure she was the person I wanted to do my brows. After seeing several before and after pictures I knew that I must have them done by her. I saved up so I could get this done. When I was ready I was able to get a good deal during Black Friday. It was awesome but even if I didn’t get a good deal during Black Friday I still wo...
