To My Dad In Heaven ( Wrote By My Mother )

I Would Like To Start To Start Out By Saying This Post Was Not Written By Me But My Mother To Her Dad On This Father’s Day. I Of Course Had Her Permission To Post It. This Is The First Father’s Day Without Him So It’s An Emotional Time For My Family And I Especially My Mother. We Are Missing Him More Than Ever Today! 💔

This is my first Father’s Day where you will not be here to have a favorite dinner or get gifts. I am sure you are getting something much better where you are but I certainly miss you.

There are a few things I would love to tell you if I could. We always think we have plenty of time, but we do not always have all the time we think we do.

I certainly would have told you how good looking you were. I do not know if I ever told you enough. You were a beautiful man inside and out but I am not sure I ever let you know I felt that way.

You loved mom and tried hard to make her happy. Any woman who has a man try this hard to make her happy, is, indeed a lucky woman.

You loved a good joke. You could not tell one but loved to hear one. You loved dogs and dogs loved you. I guess that is where your daughters learned their love of dogs.

You had a special something inside that drew people to you. I do not remember going any place where you did not know at least five or more people.

You would sing, and although you always said you were a terrible singer you always said you were making a joyful noise.

You had a prayer list that was very long. If you told someone you would pray for them or their requests you did. I think you prayed for that request until your dying day.

You worked very hard for your family. You and God always supplied our needs.

In closing, although I do not think I ever told you, you were my very handsome hero. I loved you, miss you terribly, on this day, which would be your Father’s Day. I just wish you were here for me to tell you Happy Father’s Day Dad!  I Love You 🤍
